Over the past twelve months, 429 house and rural property sales were recorded across regional Northern Territory, a 2.6% rise over the year. The lift in settled sales activity was confined to the residential sector, where 345 (+12.0%) houses were sold over the twelve months ending March 2018. Rural and agricultural property sales were down 26 sales relative to a year ago. Transactional activity across the regional market of NT was skewed towards the residential housing sector, with 80% of regional NT sales classified as residential houses. The rise was attributable to a 19% increase in the gross value of residential house sales, while the gross value of rural and agricultural property sales was down 22.9% over the year.
